    While you’re staying in Naracoopa on King Island’s east coast take time for a relaxing stroll and soak in some of the ambience and beautiful scenery. Some of what you can see are: Spectacular views of Sea Elephant Bay and Councilor Island with miles of deserted sandy beaches. Watch for whales and Dolphins. Naracoopa’s ancient jetty, once marked for removal but has now been saved.

    Getting to your King Island Accommodation


    King Island is in Bass Strait between Victoria and Tasmania. The only method of transport to the island is by air, a 45 minute flight.

    Your accommodation at Naracoopa is situated on the protected East Coast of King Island, away from the prevailing westerlies, it’s about a 25 minute drive on quiet country roads from the airport and the main town of Currie. Although this small island is only a dot on the map it’s still 65kms long x 25kms wide – that’s a lot of walking! We highly recommend a Rental Car, there is no public transport or taxis.
